Amazon starts countdown to its “Prime Day”

“Prime Day”

The Amazon company has set date and time for its third annual “Prime Day”, the day will be July 11, promising its biggest and best promotions which has 30 hours of shopping starting at 6:00 p.m. with pacific time on July 10.

The company has expanded this event to China, India and Mexico, to reach a total of 13 international markets. Amazon will compete with one of its most important rivals, including China’s e-commerce “Alibaba”, as overseas sales have increased significantly for e-commerce.

Amazon is offering the lowest prices in 365 days of hundreds and thousands of offers, with millions of items in stock, according to informant Julie Lawson.

Although the company has increased its sales number last year and increased its inventory, it is quite possible that some items will be sold completely during this promotion.

The promotion is considered a critical part of Amazon’s strategy to grow its Prime membership, which has doubled since last year to 80 million members. Prime members spend an average of $1,300 a year, compared to non-members who spend an average of $700 a year.

Amazon announced last summer that its second annual “Prime Day” will have the largest sales of the year on that day alone, sales rose 60 percent more compared to the other days of the year.

This promotion has done a good job in generating Prime memberships in question.

It is still unclear how rivals like Walmart plan to respond at their event this year. Last year Walmart offered 5 days of free shipping and its own merchandise at discount.

This year will bring us a lot of surprises, but I hope Amazon will have good sales on its third annual “Prime Day”.
