Google stops generating custom ads

Google deja de generar anuncios personalizados

Gmail is one of the many tools that the multibillionaire company Google offers, this has as function to have an email with the domain being “@gmail .com”. Google for several years, based on Gmail information from multiple users, this same generated certain personalized ads for each user, for example, if you were enrolled using your Google email to a sportswear site, it was very likely that when you entered Google, you notarized several advertisements of sportswear.

Recently the company located in MountainView, California, announced in a statement to its Gmail users that the practice of analyzing data of each user to generate personalized advertising cease, Google says that, however, the practice of generating personalized advertising for each user will not end, given to that they use other sources of data or information to enable them to continue to be available.

However, Google declare that it will not stop analyzing the emails received by its users who have a Gmail account, only that the information within them would not be used to produce personalized advertising for each of its users.

All this was due to the fact that privacy defenders had already sued on this matter, since, under Gmail’s conditions, it specifies in a clause that certain email data will be analyzed, given to in illegal situations such as they are, detection of terrorist acts or exchange of child pornography, however, the use of this data should not be used for something as trivial as advertising.

This statement was a way to respect the online privacy of each user given that analyzing an email with the simple purpose of placing advertising for each user, I consider it somewhat ridiculous, I feel that this was the best move Google could make in terms of this issue.
